Preservation of natural ressources

Garment production is water intensive on many levels; from growing cotton in the fields to dyeing, printing, and finishing the fabrics.

At hummel, we are continuously testing ways in which we can reduce our water usage in production, such as using a waterless dyeing technique called dope dyeing or less water intensive print methods. Additionally, we are moving towards all cotton being organic or recycled and have frequent conversations with our suppliers about their waste-water treatment, to help preserve clean water reserves.
