Our code of conduct establishes our commitment to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and our expectations to our suppliers. 

PREVENTING HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS

We aim to establish the best ways of identifying the actual and potential violations taking place in our value chain. We view our own presence and supplier engagement as a strong measure.

IDENTIFIED POTENTIAL VIOLATIONS

Violations of our code of conduct and international norms and standards can both take place in our upstream and downstream supply chain, on the field, in the factories, during transportation, during negotiations, during the use of the product, and after the use of the product. Whereas hummel aims to address all violations, it must prioritize the potential and actual violations based on the severity of the actual violations and the severity and likelihood of the potential violations. 

MAPPING UPSTREAM AND DOWNSTREAM VALUE CHAIN 

While we currently have a good overview of our tier 1 suppliers, we still need a better overview of the rest of the upstream supply chain. Likewise, we are seeing an increased focus on our downstream value chain and questions related to the use and end-of-life of textiles.

CSR STRATEGY INTEGRATED IN HUMMEL

It is imperative that all hummel employees are trained and aware of our CSR strategy and policies for us to achieve our goals and to continuously inform our customers of the progress we make.
