The inspiration is found in looking at predominant features, trends and styles in the 5 cities throughout different decades of the 20th and the 21st century. hummel’s footwear designers trawled the vast hummel archives and stumbled upon Jimmy - a sneaker from the 1980s - and combined that shoe's characteristics with how Paris looked like in the 1920s, the dark colours and illustrations from Berlin in the 1930s, 1970s red and blue retro styled colours from Montreal, Spanish artist Mariscal's unique style and Barcelona in the 1990s along with the classic London white sneaker featuring futuristic and innovative design details from today.
